Men are sometimes abused by partners, but domestic violence is most often directed toward women. Domestic violence can happen in heterosexual or same-sex relationships. Substance Abuse Treatment: Dependence is emotional, mental and physical addiction to the chosen substance. These individuals are commonly referred to as “meth or pot heads”, “alcoholics” and “drug addicts”. To them, there is no alternative to usage and life is dependent upon continuation of negative behaviors. These individuals need Substance Abuse Treatment. Without treatment to address the underlying issues, they continue to spiral into deeper addiction. They have a large negative impact on their families and society as a whole.
